Typical Camp Day
Every morning, you will begin with a scrumptious breakfast in the dining area of the main lodge (campers consistently rate our meals a 9/10). After breakfast, we feel a little work will help you to really appreciate and enjoy the rest of your day, so cabins are assigned 20-minute clean-up areas.
Then "Good Morning Camp Caroline" begins in front of the big screen with great music videos and some fun Camp Caroline videos. These videos lead right into Discovery Time, which is full of music led by our high-energy band. We also learn short sections from the Bible and hear from our dynamic pastor. After the pastor, cabins meet together to discuss the topics of Discovery Time. The rest of the morning is reserved for exciting activities with your cabin group, like swimming, crafts, or sports.
A high-calibre lunch is served; then it's back to our great line-up of activities with a break for canteen where we serve the three essential food groups: candy, ice cream and pop - your choice! There is also some free time in the afternoon, where you can choose your own favorite activity and connect with friends and counselors. A restful and relaxing time in the cabin just before supper restores your energy for the fun and excitement the evening brings.
Supper is not only delicious and nutritious, it is also a lot of fun with a theme for each evening. It may be Twin Night, Dress Your Counselor, or Crazy Hat and T-Shirt. We run off supper during Evening Special, usually a wild wide game that the whole camp plays together. Of course, after running off supper, we need to fill you up again with a snack, and then it's time for the outdoor campfire alongside the sweet sounds of Beaver Creek. Campfire is one of the summer highlights for many campers. There's lots of singing, dancing, laughing, some drama presented by the staff and a great message from the pastor. As the sun sets, it's back to the lodge to get ready for bed, talk about the day and go to sleep in your comfortable bed to dream about all the excitement waiting to begin the next morning.
